Today while I was walking around a mall in a higher end of town I came across two twenty-something girls hopping out of a brand new Range Rover. As I walked by them the two girls gave me a snotty little glare as they continued to make their way into the Coach store. As the first girl made it to the door the second girl’s high heel shoe got caught in a crack in the sidewalk and she fell forward slamming into the glass door of the store. It was at that brief moment that I thought to myself…maybe I really can will things to happen with my thoughts.

Muxin’ It Up

Muxtape.com is a site that allows you to create mixtapes that play anywhere. Now I just want to have the ability to add friends and mark other’s mixtapes as favorites. Here’s my first mixtape. Feel free to share yours in the comments.

I’d also really enjoy a service that is similar to twitter to follow exactly what music you and your friends are listening to at that specific period of time…think last.fm, but with yearly/monthly archives.

I have always got a kick out of visiting a site to find out see them using some of the icons, code snippets, or menus I’ve shared in the past, but I don’t think any others have given me as much of a kick as one that was brought to my attention recently by a reader.

Do you know you’re featured in Snoop Dogg’s source code? An exploding Boy CSS file.

Sure enough the “Doggfather” is sportin’ one of the menus examples I created a few years back for the “Login” and “Sign Up” links. The site isn’t using my personal fav from the bunch. I also can’t really say it looks all that good with the rest of the overall look of the site, but it is cool nonetheless.

I know I’m a little late to the party, but I just signed up for XBox Live over the weekend…mostly for Team Fortress 2. I totally suck at the moment, but Team Fortress 2 is fun as hell. The Blog Readability Test — See what level of education is required to understand your blog. Apparently my blog’s reading level is college (postgrad). Maybe I should ~~strive~~ work harder to ~~lower the reading level~~ dumb down the ole website. I’ve no clue as to why it would be that high.

Insistent Goat Bumper Sticker

While walking with my daughter yesterday–well I was doing the walking, my daughter was just being pushed around pretending to steer a large plastic car, I came upon this bumper sticker and was struck by the overall enthusiasm of the sticker. The bold red font, the exclamation point almost insist you dial the number to find out how to add more goat to your diet.

iPhone Impressions

I caved and picked up an iPhone Friday evening. After playing with the phone a full day here are my first impressions.

The keyboard is not near as bad as I originally thought it would be, but it still takes some getting used to. I would love to be able to turn the phone to landscape view for a larger/wider virtual keyboard.
Setup was a breeze
People love playing with the touchscreen.
Despite recent updates EDGE is painfully slow.
Even with the larger capacity model there is still not a whole lot of room for music and videos.
Battery life/drain has been better than expected, and I’ve been watching videos and listening to lots of music.

Camera shopping

For some strange reason ever since a recent trip to Tennessee I’ve been wanting to take photos of everything…not so much artistic photos, just snapshots to record all the small things from my surroundings. I took a couple of different photography classes while in college, but haven’t done much photography since that time. I’m really looking forward to focusing(awful pun not intended) more time on polishing up what little photography skills I once had.

To further feed my recent photography craving I also just picked up the new Nikon D40X, and I absolutely love it.
