I have been a father for a full year now and still mistakenly call my daughter by my dog’s name and vice versa.

That’s strange same thing happened to me so many times to call friends of mine kids by the name of my dog. I don’t know why but it can be because we consider our dogs as our kids.
By the way you have really cute daughter.
What a cutie! Just wanted to let you know you’re not alone about the name thing. I sometimes call my son by my dog’s name and there have been times when I tried to correct myself but my bird’s name came out of my mouth instead. Then it’s usually followed by a “What’s your name again?” It’s terrible. And my son’s almost five.
