Updated Centered Sliding Doors Menus

A few days back I received a comment from a reader asking for help using the centered sliding door menus that I had expanded upon from Ethan Marcotte’s original tutorial. The commenter explained that the menus were acting a little buggy in IE7 so I decided to download IE7 and try to find a way to solve things. After a couple of small changes in the stylesheet the menus should now be fully functional in IE, Firefox, and Safari. Enjoy!

Cool ! I love your centered sliding door menus. This is a cool update.
Thx.
Thanks man. I just installed IE7 and checked all my sites, and the only one that broke was http://www.taqali.com (where I used your centered sliding door menus). So I crawled over here, and what did I see but an update! Cool.
Nice. I recently toyed with a simplified version of Bowman’ssliding doors technique from A List Apart. Accomodating for IE7 was mercifully easier than expected.
very nice man, you’re one of my personal heroes now. I simply didn’t have the time (leave alone the skill) to solve this issues, so thank you!

Very nice.. but… only drawback.. is when in IE 7(and lots of people do) you hit the zoom lens in the bottom right corner ( the thing that goes from 100 to 150%), the text leaves the tabs
Strange that it doesn’t happen with your other menues!!!
