In case you haven’t noticed or just so happen to keep up with the site via RSS, late last Friday I finally finished up my work on the redesign for this very site. It had been a very long time coming, and I must say that I love it. I just no longer liked the look of my previous design. It just didn’t feel like me anymore. I wanted something a little more calm, mature, and simplistic. I knew once I finished up the design and showed it to a few others that the design would just not be for everyone. Some people loved the pale grey colors, and others thought it was just too basic and washed out. In the end though I am hoping that the majority of visitors enjoy it. Let me know what you think…unless you really hate it.

Like you said, it’s more mature, simplistic and devoid of those irritating graphics that most blogs now have. It looks great!
Looks great - I think a little wider content area would have been nicer, but this is a smooth theme with nice simple features - things I love to see.

Although I liked the other design a lot, this is a nice change.
Clean and simple. I particularly like the subtle trees at the bottom right of my screen.
I love the design, and the colours work well.. one thing though, this comment box empties itself when you click in it, which is fair enough for getting rid of the warning, but incredibly annoying if you happen to click out of the textbox and then back in it.
Like the comment I left on Flickr, I really love this new design. One of the reasons is that it is very similar to my current blog design: single-column, minimalistic and light-on-dark. As far as colors, I like the gray, white and blue combination. It makes the site look very sophisticated.
First time I saw it it looked smooth and nice, but too simple. After spending around 15 minutes on your site, I can say it is very user friendly and easy to read.
Maybe you should add one more color with contrast for headings and important stuff so people can find things more quickly. Search bar would also help
