Internet Explorer Users Rejoice!

Tags:

After numerous (who knew there were so many die-hard IE fans?) emails from people ranting and raving about a small banner that has been on my site for well over 3 months I decided to make the necessary changes to assure my site now displays correctly in Internet Explorer. I hope the 5% of IE users, and Bitchy Designers that visit the site are now content.

  1. Wow, that must have been a pretty big pill to swallow. Let me be the first Win/IE reader to say Thank-You. Would you mind describing what changes you made? Did you have to compromise any of your design features to accommodate the limited IE capabilities?

  2. Jason: The changes I made were mostly in modifying a lot of the stylesheet… lots of padding and margin modification. I also had to add a conditional comment for IE to get the footer to line up correctly. I didn’t address the transparent .png issue when hovering over the footer line items because I felt it was pretty inconsequential.

  3. Christopher: I’m thinkin you should have said “fuck it!” and let them suffer.

Also… thanks for havin this kick ass blog. I read it every day and ive learn a lot from the posts you make about css and design.

  4. haha!

  5. haha. Sweet. Stop Bitching! LOL

  6. Plenty of hard work for 5% viewer.
