Humbug!
It seems as I get older the Christmas shopping season is pushed forward more and more. It is not even the middle of November, yet everywhere I go is clad with tacky snowmen, candy canes, and all sorts of other garish Christmas decor. Every commercial website I visit has holiday shopping guides, bows, holly, and snowflakes. It is obscene! I’ve never been a huge fan of the holiday season, but I can at least tolerate it when it began the day after Thanksgiving. I swear in less than 5 years I’ll have to stare at stupid ass Christmas paraphernalia in September!
I totally agree. I hate the fact that I can’t even make it through one holiday without having to see the next holiday’s propaganda already littering the shelves. I dread the day I see Santa and Rudolph before Halloween!
I just hate how schools and business are all politically correct these days because they don’t want to “offend” anybody.. It’s not called “Christmas” anymore, it’s “Happy Holidays” … or I think the schools just call it “Winter Break” now. Ridiculous.
You boys are terrible. Christmas is FUN! The “Holidays” are FUN! It’s not about the snomen and candycanes. It’s about spending time with family. I love this time of year, especially now that I have kids who I can watch get all excited over every little thing.
PS.. I think it’s “winter break” because it is politically correct to call it that. (Not everyone celebrates Christmas).
It’s definitely far too early for the commercial holiday season. A guy tried to sell me baubles today and I wanted to punch him.
