Mom: You need to get married before you lose all of your looks, because you have a shitty personality.
Me: Why thank you, mother.
Mom: Well, it’s true!

I had a conversation with myself not too long ago, which is why I just got married.
Why do parents think that marriage is the answer to everything? UGGHH!!! At least I cleared the marriage issue with my mom. I told her “I’m never gonna give you what you want! So deal with it!” Yep. She cried and laughed and blamed herself for what I had “become”.
Ever hear your mom say “Oh, you need to get married. It’ll straighten you up!”?
I think it’s not our shittty personalities. It’s their shitty perceptions.
