Today during my lunch hour I walked into the bank, filled out my deposit slip and walked up to the somewhat long line. I took my place behind a fairly burly man, and started to wait for an available teller. While waiting in line I noticed the burly man ahead of me was fidgeting with some loose strings at the bottom of his grease-covered, sleeveless flannel shirt. Why he was wearing flannel in the middle of the Alabama summer is beyond me. We then all move forward in line, and I go back into my dazed state. After a few more moments the line moves forward again. It was about that time that my burly friend decided to pull one of the loose strings from his shirt, wrap it around two of his fingers and begin flossing his teeth. I, immediately was pretty sickened by his actions, but no one else in the bank even noticed. He continued to saw away at his teeth, yanking the string from between his teeth, shooting his saliva and the remnants of his last meal in the air while we waited.

Finally we had moved to the front of the line. The teller then called for the next customer and the burly man walks over to the teller. I continued to wait and wonder how much more of my lunch hour could be taken up by waiting in line. After a while I was called up to the same teller window. I handed the lady my deposit slip, and placed my right hand on the counter, only to discover there was something cold and wet under it. I lifted my hand and discovered my burly friend had decided to leave his makeshift dental floss on the counter!
